What a difference a day makes!

I woke this morning bright and early at 6am (how much better i sleep sans alcohol!). Hauled my self to church and had a good time with the Lord. How about they sang two of my favorite songs on the same day! Now of course my momma was surprised to see me at church at the 730 service in the snow. I go to the 6pm service in the summer b/c it’s cooler outside and it’s still light outside but in the winter, it’s way too dark and cold to go to church at night. Amazing how when you need it most, the sermon and music can speak to a place in your heart that refuses to talk to the rest of the world. The sermon was about not being afraid of what will happen next and being in a spirit of praise for what God is GOING to do. This, as I have said before, is the hardest part of what I am going through right now. I know that the Lord has great things in store for me, because he has already done great and wonderful things in my life.

I took some time for myself this weekend. Got up when the sam hell I felt like it, ate what the heck I wanted, talked to whomever I felt like. It was weird at first, but eventually, I began to enjoy! I am every bit as fabulous as I tell folk I am :)

Didn’t hurt that the Wiz was on today! How about I love that movie (except the part where they get chased in the subway, that is some scary stuff)! But you see something new in the movie everytime you watch it. Like in the “Brand New Day” sequence, how about I didn’t notice that the men were all wearing butt exposing thongs and the women were wearing full briefs ????
