One of my absolute favorite movies is “What About Bob”!! I love to hear Bill Mu.r.ra.y chanting “Baby stepping to the door” and my other favorite line “I’m doing the work, I’m baby stepping”.

Well I have been baby stepping all day. I had to do physical training at the unit today (which I am not great at but if I’m gonna wear the suit, gotta do the work). I haven’t run in at least 2 months. My knees were killing me but I decided to take a little jog. 1 mile later, I was pretty proud of my “baby steps”. You have to crawl before you can walk, you know! And how about I left my wallet at home on a day that I left late and ended up doing 85mph all the way to the unit. I am so thankful He looks out for fools too! I had to buy my lunch like homeless people with the parking meter and toll booth change from my car. At least this time it was all in quarters! I should be shamed, but a sista was too hungry to be shamed.

I’m baby stepping with Coach too. We’ve had a few breakthroughs (still in need though… all this wanting and waiting… gooooood grief- but I digress :) ) He let me take care of him Memorial day when he was sick. I didn’t do anything “medical”, I just held him in my arms post coughing spell so that he would be reassured. He kept trying to send me home. What is this a test? What kind of triffling broad rolls out on a dude when he is coughing and in pain?? Well I probably do know the kind, but I am not She. We had a lovely movie and dinner date on Memorial Day. He volunteered to see the movie I wanted to see just because he knew I was being polite and not asking to see that particular one. Scored an extra two points on the “man scale”. I think I’m good with where things are. I admit that I am soooo diggin on him but I am truly enjoying getting to know him without the complication of “nekkedness” (although I would sacrifice knowing his first pet’s name to be “10 toes up, 10 toes down”).

I baby stepped to the bank this week with the student loan check. Paid off my delinquent bills and now my phone doesn’t ring.. What da heck! I’m trying so hard not to spend it all at one time and to make the money last. I did buy actual groceries this week (complete with fresh fruit and veggies… healthy ain’t cheap!)

Ooooh an aside while I’m typing…. How about in the office the other day (I’m on urol.ogy- quite blogworthy tales for this week- I promise) and I’m looking at a medically related magazine and they had an ad from some company about women’s plumbing problems. Ok but this particular ad offered a product to help women with their PRO.STA.TE problems! I had to read the ad twice to make sure I was not misreading the words that were coming off the page. If SHE has a pro.st.ate problem… she needs to see an EXTRA special doctor (shoot, she MIGHT need an exorcist!)

Ok tis all for now, nap time…. gotta get up early in the morning (but I’m not going to find me another lover- just a shout out to all the Gap Band fans)
