Well my truth from Me and My Crazy World was to write 101 facts about me. I got to number 58 and the blasted computer froze up… but anyway, here goes:
1. My birth initals are DMH
2. My initials have been RMA and RMG
3. I asked to change my name when I was 2
4. My mother was reading me a story in the muslim newspaper and that’s where I got the name.
5. I got my name legally changed at the age of 13.
6. I have considered changing my name back.
7. I am the youngest girl of my father’s kids.
8. My brother is 11 months younger than me
9. I’m the oldest of my mother’s kids
10. I look like my mother
11. I look like my father’s daughter too
12. I don’t think my parents look alike at all.
13. I was born in Chicago
14. The hospital where I was born is affiliated with the med school that dismissed me in 1998.
15. I have been in honors classes all of my life.
16. Not all of my friends were in honors classes
17. I learned as much from them as I did from my “geek” friends
18. I love to watch sports
19. School has kept me so busy that I have lost track of all of the sports I once watched.
20. I live in a city with every professional sport but I have only been to baseball games
21. I’m learning about football.
22. I’m dating a sports fanatic.
23. I dated the same man for 10 years.
24. Our relationship survived me being away at college, him going to the Army Reserves, him being deployed to Kuwait and Texas, me being on active duty in the Army.
25. We were married 3 years.
26. I think I would get married again.
27. I’m glad I didn’t have kids with my ex.
28. I want 3 kids but I don’t think I’ll have more than 2.
29. I graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana 10 years ago.
30. Orientation was the first time I ever saw the school.

33. I have always wanted to be a doctor.
34. I got kicked out of med school in 1998.
35. I went back to med school in 2002.
36. I spent 3 years on active duty.
37. Fort Polk, Louisiana was the worst place to be stationed.
38. I met one of my best friends there.
39. Most people tell me that I was a dude in a former life.
40. Most of my friends are men.
41. I’m more sensitive than I pretend to be.
42. I think my birthday should be a holiday.
43. I am more often than not a typical Aries.
44. I am afraid of falling.
45. I am not afraid of heights.
46. I have been to Japan.
47. I speak not a lick of Japanese.
48. I started the climb up Mt Fuji
49. I want to go back there in the future.
50. I would love to run a half-marathon.
51. I have bad knees so that may never happen.

54. I haven’t cut my hair in 5 years.
55. I’m bored with my hairstyle but I promised myself no cutting of the hair until I am a doctor.
56. I finish medical school in December.
57. I will be a family medicine doctor.
58. I want to work in a school clinic part time.
59. I despise abstinence only education.
60. My favorite physical feature is my legs.
61. I can’t tolerate looking at people with bad teeth.

63. I would rather be alone than try that again.
64. I considered moving to Texas.
65. Chicago is not my favorite city in the world but it is home.

69. I am an alto but I sing soprano if needed.
70. My mother didn’t know I could sing until I was in high school.
