Ok I’ve been gone a long time.  No real reason, still reading blogs, commenting sometimes.  Just haven’t sat down to write in a while.

But the events of yesterday forced me to crack my knuckles and get ta the writing.

My experiment with natural hair is OVER!

Yep, went back to the relaxer.  Yes I know, chemical chemical chemical… whatever.

When I decided to go natural it was never to be Afrocentric or to show off my puff, it was to stop putting chemicals in my hair.  I forgot one teeny tiny little fact.

I"M IMPATIENT!!!

I DON’T DO HAIR!  I don’t have hair skills, I have hair stylists.  I have been getting my hair done since I was 6 or 7.  It’s been long, short, medium length (all by my choice).  It’s been light brown, dark brown, and black.  And now I can say it has been natural and weaved and I have even worn a half-wig.  But for me, the best choice right now is to go back to the relaxer.

I have lovely 4B/4A hair.  I loved seeing the little random curlies in my hair.  This is not cultural pressure.  I get up at 5 am rushing out the door.  I found it much easier when I had a relaxer.

Coach is happy.  He was not a fan of the natural do.  He loves me and supports me so he didn’t actively voice his opinion, but I know my hunny and he was NOT overjoyed with my hair.  He smiled way too much when I got my hair flat ironed last week.  I like that he is pleased but this was my decision.

Ok why do I sound like I’m justifying my choice.  Really, it’s always been just hair to me.  I’ll try most anything once.  Well except the Jerri Curl, I saw far too many people with acne on the forehead for that.  And let’s just face facts, that dang activator was FUNKY.  I loved my friends dearly but you had to love them just a little further.

Ooh other updates, just got back from Mexico.  Heading to Houston today.  I’m a traveling nut!  I’m also a sweet nut, a cute nut, a smart nut, and a sassy nut.  What can I say, I’m nuts.

Many folx wanna see pics so I’m going to do some kind of web album when I get back from Houston.  My papparazi (Coach) has hundreds of pics in just a year.  I don’t know that I’ll share the link directly on the site, got enough stalkers now :)   but I’ll make it known to those who want to know.
